Community Capital Infrastructure Grants

Applications open 1 August 2017 for 2017-18 Community Capital Infrastructure Grants

There will be one funding round for the 2017-18 Community Capital Infrastructure Grant Program (CCIGP). Applications are open for 3 months from 1 August 2017, closing 5:00pm 31 October 2017.

The 2017-18 CCIGP funding pool is $50,000.

This year, a shorter form is available for organisations submitting applications for Pre-Planning works, such as design and costings projects. Successful Pre-Planning projects will be eligible to receive 50% funding.

If the CCIGP is not fully subscribed after the successful applicants have been announced in December 2017, the fund will remain open to applications for Pre-Planning works until it is fully subscribed, or until 30 June 2018, whichever is soooner.

In the past five years, Council's CCIGP has contributed $747,195 towards 39 Community projects with a combined value of $2,061,406, in all, contributing 37% in funding towards the value of these projects, with every $1 funded by Council matched by $1.76 from the Community in cash, other grant funding or in-kind support.

Development Approvals - Do not delay!

If you want to apply for 2017-18 CCIGP funding and will need a Development Application, please call our Development Team to make an appointment as soon as possible to discuss. Plans should be lodged in early August - Planning Consent is required for CCIGP eligibility so do not delay.

Applicants will be required to pay fees related to Development Applications on receiving a Fee request letter. These fees will be reimbursed to all eligible applicants, regardless of whether your CCIGP application is successful. Sponsorship of these fees for Community groups and not-for-profit organisations is funded through the Kangaroo Island Sponsorship Program. When you have paid these fees, simply fill in a Sponsorship form and return it to Council for reimbursement.

  • Kingscote Football Club: Kingscote Clubrooms Entry Project ($11,000)
  • Parndana Golf Club: Parndana Golf Club Bar & Kitchen Upgrade ($4,800)
  • Parndana Progress Association: Town Hall & Museum Precinct Project Stage 2 ($6,686)
  • Parndana Show Society: Power Upgrade for Show Sites ($4,510)
