Kingscote Street Numbering Review

As part of the Street Numbering for Townships & Coastal Settlements project and following a review of the street numbering for Kingscote in July 2017, Council resolved at its August 2017 Council Meeting to review and go out to public consultation the street numbers for 14 selected streets.

Council Resolution – ‘That the street numbers for Ayliffe Street, Centenary Avenue, Commercial Street, Cygnet Road, Dauncey Street, Drew Street, Esplanade, Flinders Avenue, Giles Street, Kingscote Terrace, Murray Street, Rawson Street, White Street & York Crescent in Kingscote be reviewed and go out to public consultation’.

Council will be writing to all property owners of the affected streets with potential street number changes seeking their feedback.  This correspondence will also contain maps, the proposed recommendation for the affected street and the proposed street numbering.

Next Steps:

Following consultation, consideration will be given to any feedback prior to preparing a final recommendation on the street numbers. property owners will be advised on final recommendations. Council will advise any street number changes to various Government Agencies - Land Services, Australia Post, SA Power Networks, Electoral Commission and Telstra.

the feedback provided when making decisions moving forward regarding the matter.

Cat 3 Notifications

Category 3 developments include those kinds of development not listed as either Category 1 or 2 in Schedule 9 of the Development Regulations 2008. In this case, a public notice is placed in the newspaper and any person can make a representation on the application. Persons who make representations in relation to a Category 3 development can be heard if they request it as part of the submission. A representation to a Category 3 publicly notified proposal also has an appeal right against the decision

The application details (plans, submissions etc) can only be viewed at Council's Office. Should you wish to obtain copies of these documents and a fee is also payable.

Please note that Category 3 Notifications are deleted from the website after the closing date.
